Danny Dear
FOUNDER
Danny founded Danny Dear Service Centre in 1977 with a simple goal: to build a shop that treats every customer the way he would want his own family to be treated. His focus on honesty, fairness, and quality service has shaped the business from day one. With very few shops in the Ottawa area operating for this long, Danny’s legacy is built on trust, consistency, and decades of community support. He takes pride in seeing the shop continue to grow while maintaining the same values it started with nearly 50 years ago. -

Alexandre Jolin-Rodrigue
OWNER
Alex joined the team in 2016 and recently became the owner of the shop. He holds a Red Seal certification in automotive repair and brings experience working on both vehicles and small engines of all types. Alex approaches every job with a practical, hands-on mindset and a strong focus on doing things right the first time. He believes in treating every customer with honesty, respect, and care — the same way he would treat his own family — and is committed to maintaining the shop’s reputation for reliable, trustworthy service. -

Claude Dupis
MASTER MECHANIC
Claude joined the shop in 1991 and brings decades of hands-on mechanical experience to the team. Over the years, he has developed extensive knowledge working on everything from older vehicles to modern advanced diagnostics. Mechanics with Claude’s level of experience and problem-solving ability are hard to find today. He takes tremendous pride in his work, and anyone who has seen him in action knows they can trust both his skill and attention to detail. -

Mike Lamothe
MASTER SMALL ENGINE MECHANIC
Mike joined the shop in 1990 and brings over 40 years of experience in small engine repair. From the smallest tools to large equipment and implements, there is very little Mike has not worked on. His extensive knowledge even includes many older non-electronic tools and machines that are becoming rare today. Beyond repairs, Mike takes pride in helping customers choose the right equipment for their needs and providing honest, knowledgeable advice they can trust. -

Noah Dupuis
APPRENTICE MECHANIC
Noah joined the team in 2023 and is currently completing his apprenticeship. Working alongside experienced mechanics, he is quickly developing his skills across a wide range of repairs. He brings strong values, a solid work ethic, and takes pride in doing things right and continuing to learn every day. Surrounded by strong mentorship and hands-on experience, Noah represents the next generation of talent at the shop. Danny Dear is proud to have him as part of the team.
